Boat Overturn in Northern Vietnam Claims Two Lives

(MENAFN) A deadly boating accident occurred late Sunday in Vietnam’s northern province of Tuyen Quang, resulting in the deaths of two people, as stated by reports.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. when a man, his wife, and their son were traveling on a small boat. Strong winds caused the vessel to capsize, tossing all three passengers into the water.

Demonstrating remarkable endurance, the son was able to swim to safety and reach the shore, while his parents were swept away by the currents.

Authorities immediately launched search and rescue operations that continued for more than 12 hours. Tragically, the efforts concluded with the recovery of the bodies of the two victims. Officials have urged boaters in the region to exercise extreme caution during adverse weather conditions to prevent similar accidents in the future.
